‘The Wig and the Triangle’, beautiful upcycling fashion by Liora Lassalle in a video by Magali Charrier
This beautifully presented collection by Central Saint Martin Fashion Design BA graduate Liora Lassalle was designed according to the principle of up-cycling at the Reclaim To Wear Studio in London.
The materials used in Liora’s collection are all reclaimed, either from high-end product such as vintage lace and fine jerseys or by up-cycling old high-visibility jackets from Veolia Environmental Services employees. The movie was directed by award winning director, animator and video editor Magali Charrier.
Liora Lasalle’s collection was supported by the British Fashion Council’s Estethica program. This BFC initiative started in 2005 support young designers who adhere to at least one of the three Estethica principles: fair-trade and ethical practices, organic and recycled materials. This collection was nurtured as an Incubator Project in collaboration with Veolia Environmental Services and Central Saint Martins.
Estethica designer are selected by Orsola de Castro, founder of green label From Somewhere, Filippo Ricci and The British Fashion Council on the basis of these ethical credentials and design excellence.
